(Response Points: Time Management Skills; Academic Rigour and Workload)
I’ve always been someone who enjoys taking on challenges, especially when it comes to academics. Over the years, I’ve had to manage a pretty demanding workload, balancing advanced courses with extracurricular activities and other responsibilities. For instance, during my final year of school, I was enrolled in several high-level subjects that required a significant amount of time and effort. At the same time, I was leading a student organisation and participating in a couple of other clubs that I was passionate about.
This experience taught me the importance of time management. I realised that in order to keep up with everything, I needed to be very organised and disciplined with my schedule. I started by setting clear priorities and breaking down my tasks into manageable chunks. I would plan my week in advance, making sure I allocated enough time for study, projects, and activities, while also leaving some room for unexpected challenges or downtime.
I also found that being able to manage my workload effectively allowed me to maintain high academic performance without feeling overwhelmed. It wasn’t always easy, but I learned how to focus on one task at a time and stay motivated, even when the pressure was high. This approach not only helped me succeed in school but also gave me confidence in my ability to handle the increased demands of university life.
